If you’re looking for a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe, this is it! These cookies are everything a chocolate chip cookie should be, soft on the inside, crunchy along the edges and full of chocolate.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.2 1/4 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt
Using a stand mixer cream together the butter and sugars.1 cup butter, 1 cup lightly packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Add the eggs, one at a time. Mix well.2 large eggs
Then mix in the vanilla.2 tsp vanilla extract
Gradually add the flour mixture into butter mixture, and stir until combined.
Mix in the chocolate chips.1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Use a heaping tablespoon of cookie dough for each cookie. Place 8 cookies on the baking sheet, spaced out evenly. Lightly press down the centres. See my tip above!
Bake for about 12 minutes, until the cookies are golden brown around the edges.
Cool on a wire rack.
