Servings2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen whole cranberries
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh orange zest
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary (about 2 - 3 teaspoons)

Instructions

  • Add the cranberries, orange juice, water, sugar, orange zest and fresh rosemary to a large saucepan over low heat.
2 cups fresh or frozen whole cranberries, 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice, 1/4 cup water, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 tbsp fresh orange zest, 1 sprig fresh rosemary (about 2 - 3 teaspoons)
  • Simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries start to soften and the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
  • Turn the heat up to low-medium and continue to cook until the cranberries burst and the sauce is the consistency that you like. This takes about 10 minutes or so. You may need to mash the cranberries to get a soft, jammy like texture.
  • Cool the sauce to room temperature before serving.
