Greek Yogurt Waffles

This is a delicious recipe for Greek Yogurt Waffles! The addition of the yogurt makes these waffles rich, moist and so good.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your waffle iron.
  • In a bowl whisk together the eggs, vanilla, Greek yogurt, milk and melted butter until smooth. I like to use a hand blender to do this part, it makes the mixture nice and creamy.

  • In a separate large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
    3 cups all purpose flour, 4 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and mix together gently until combined.
  • Let the batter sit for about 5 minutes.
  • Once your waffle maker is heated and ready to use you can start making the waffles. Depending on the size of your maker how much batter you use may differ. For my maker I use 1/4 cup batter for each waffle.
