Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Bars Recipe Tips
- Bananas: Use medium sized 4 ripe bananas (about 1 1/2 cups mashed).
- Oats: Use quick oats, not instant oats. I haven’t tried this recipe with rolled oats yet.
- Peanut Butter: Use creamy or chunky peanut butter. I haven’t tried this recipe with natural peanut butter so I’m not sure how it would work.
- Chocolate chips: You can use semi-sweet, milk or dark chocolate chips.
- Topping: If you like, sprinkle extra chocolate chips onto the top of the batter before baking.
- Pan Size: Use a 9 x 13 baking pan, line it with parchment paper so the bars can be easily removed.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container on your counter.
- Freezing: These bars freeze well. Store in an airtight container in your freezer for up to 3 months.

This will be a hit when I get together with the ladies! Who doesn’t like peanut butter and chocolate? It’s simple and delicious. I like how you integrated oatmeal in there. I would never have thought of this. Fresh bananas is also a plus of course. Kinda makes me think of Elvis with the peanut butter and bananas, lol!
