Juicing Ginger Root Tips

What type of ginger do you use to make ginger juice?

Use fresh ginger root.

An electric juicer is the easiest way to make ginger juice.

If you’ve got an electric juicer, it is the best way to make ginger juice. But if you don’t have one, no worries, I’m sharing an easy non-juicer method as well.

Do I need to need to peel the ginger?

No! Just lightly scrub it clean, there’s no need to remove the peel.

How to store ginger juice:

Store the fresh ginger juice in a glass jar in the fridge, for up to 3 days.

Can I freeze it?

Yes! Ginger juice freezes beautifully. Pour the juice into an ice cube tray and freeze. Once it’s frozen, pop out the cubes and store in a ziplock bag.

What if I don’t have an electric juicer?

No problem! Just put the cleaned, unpeeled ginger root into a blender and blend until smooth. Then pour the mixture over a wire strainer or cheesecloth to strain out all the pulp. Make sure to press the mixture down to get as much juice out of it as possible.
