One Pan Creamy Parmesan Chicken

One Pan Creamy Parmesan Chicken
If you’re looking for a quick, really delicious chicken dinner, this One Pan Creamy Parmesan Chicken is amazing! It’s so simple to assemble (takes just minutes), and it bakes in one dish, so clean up is easy! This will quickly become a family favourite.

About this recipe:
I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for new and easy recipes to make with chicken. Dinner rotation can get redundant and predictable but it doesn’t have to! This One Pan Creamy Parmesan chicken is a recipe you’re going to want to try, especially if you love creamy sauces and Parmesan cheese. The rich flavour of the sauce comes from the Parmesan cheese and Ranch seasoning mix, and the mayonnaise/sour cream it’s mixed with makes the most tender chicken. This dish is so flavourful and so simple. I hope you try it.

One Pot Chicken Parmesan Recipe Tips
- CHICKEN: Use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for this dish. Then slice them horizontally to create chicken cutlets. Cutlets bake more evenly for this particular recipe.
- MAYONNAISE: Use real mayonnaise.
- SOUR CREAM: Use full fat sour cream. You can also use Greek yogurt.
- RANCH SEASONING: Use pre-made ranch seasoning mixes you buy in the grocery store.
- STORAGE: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- SAUCE TIPS: Read my tip below for ideas on what to do if the sauce becomes runny during baking.

Putting it all together:
This recipe is assembled and baked in one dish. Here’s a quick look:

Layer the chicken cutlets in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish. Season with black pepper.

Mix all of the ingredients for the sauce then spread it over the chicken. Bake. SO EASY.
What to do if the sauce is runny:
I have made this dish a few times now and sometimes the sauce is the perfect consistency, and sometimes it’s a little runny. This can change each time depending on the moisture in the chicken. Here are a few tips you can use to thicken the sauce up if you like.
- Option 1: You can leave it as is. The sauce is really good, even runny…it’s buttery and flavourful which is perfect on rice.
- Option 2: You can stir in about a 1/4 cup sour cream into the sauce at the bottom of the dish.
- Option 3: If you notice after about 20 minutes that the sauce is runny, create a 1:1 cornstarch (or flour) to water mixture (1 tbsp cornstarch or flour, and 1 tbsp water), then stir it into the sauce. Continue baking.

Serving Suggestions:
This creamy parmesan chicken is delicious with steamed rice (rice is my favourite because it soaks up the sauce beautifully) and a green veggie like broccoli or green beans. It’s also really good with pasta.
