Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
If you’re looking for a soft, yummy protein packed cookie, these Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are SO good. Made with peanut butter, almond flour, protein powder and more simple ingredients, these will be a recipe box favourite!

About this recipe.
We’re trying to add a little more protein to our dessert diet around here, so these cookies are on repeat! They taste almost like a cake-mix cookie. They’re soft (and a little crumbly to be honest), sweet, and have delicious peanut butter and vanilla flavours. And they’re a big hit with the teenager in the house! Don’t be afraid of the protein powder, it adds a nice flavour with the bonus of extra protein.

Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe Tips
- Protein Powder: For this recipe I used a vanilla flavoured protein powder that I got at Costco (brand is Lean Fit Whey Protein in vanilla). If you don’t have that particular one, you can use any vanilla whey protein powder for these cookies.
- Peanut Butter: I used smooth peanut butter.
- Chocolate Chips: I like to use mini chocolate chips for these cookies but you can use any type of chip: milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, white chocolate, dark or peanut butter chips.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight container on your kitchen counter for 3 – 5 days. They will dry out over time.
- Freezing: These cookies freeze well. Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Baking these cookies.
Use a good sized scoop of cookie dough for each cookie (enough to make about 1 to 1 1/2 inch ball). They don’t spread out too much when baking, but make sure to place them about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. You can see below how many I fit on a sheet. Then lightly press them down before baking.
